Limits of a fogged small block

Just curious what you guys think the limits are on a direct port (fogger, pirhana) style nitrous system on a small block chevy.

Say a motor such as this:
JE Nitrous/blower pistons with a nitrous safe ring set w/ proper gap
A set of billet connecting rods
A 4340 forged crankshaft such as a scat or eagle
Either a production or aftermarket O-ringed block with 4 bolt mains

If the motor made in the neighborhood of 550 horsepower off the bottle, what kind of shot could a motor like this take in a dual stage style setup? Just curious basically of what the limits of a stout small block are as far as size of a nitrous shot.

You are talking apples and oranges when you mix a stock and aftermarket/Bowtie blocks. You also need to give some kind of idea how long you want it to last. But just to throw a number out there, I'd say 200-250hp from the nitrous. You will need high octane race fuel as if the motor is already 550hp it's going to be very high compression. If you aren't too interested in longevity, spray it with 500hp using VP C16 or NOS blend and hope for the best. You will have to lift the front wheels to avoid driving over your crank someday though

Also, you are talking high-end pistons and billet rods. These parts are sort of a mis-match with an Eagle crank. Nothing wrong with the Eagle crank, but you might as well ante-up another couple of hundred $$$ and get a Callies piece to complete your high-end rotating assy.
