I'll chime in for George (SSMOKEM) and myself. We both have stock bottom ends, I have a completely stock motor except 58MM TB (NOS) and just added headers. I've been spraying a 130 shot or since July. George has been running a 2 stage 200 HP shot with ported heads and cam for quite a while. I only run low 13's right now and George runs 11's. I am doing heads/cam this next few weeks and want to up my shot to 160 - about the most you can get out of the 5176 kit.

With a dry kit, I agree.....but with a wet, why not, when you are internally stock?? The fuel pump can handle a bolt-on car w/ a 150 wet shot without a problem. Run a fuel pressure safety switch, and if it for some reason dies or drops pressure, the juice cuts off and you are back to running a bolt-on N/A car, whose fuel requirements are not that severe. I only went with a 255 intank because of my heads/cam and need for the extra fuel on a decent shot.

As for Steve's topic......that guy is an idiot. I have a built bottom end....hahaha. I wish; of course, I wouldn't be spraying only a 150 shot on a built shortblock, that's for DAMN sure.

When I installed my nitrous kit a couple years ago, I started w/ the 100 shot. After a couple weeks, that went in favor of the 150 jetting (NX kit, 62/35 jets). I have no idea how many bottles I went through, but it was enough for sure.

I haven't sprayed much with the heads/cam....only a 75 shot a couple of times. I've been waiting for slow asses at MSD to send my Digital 6 back; then it is time to go back "ol' standbuy," the 150 shot.

let me add to this by mentioning a guy in savannah with a 95 Z vert that is spraying 2 stages up to 215hp on a stock top and bottpm end! he hass been doing it for about a year now and the only problem he has had is one backfire that did no harm to the engine.

Unhappy

You guys are going to make me put a little juice through my car with all this positive talk. Hmm... I am in the low 12's as is now. A shot of laughing gas would be awsome. Low 11's or maybe 10's??? Here I go again..

George,

What exactly do you have done to your fuel system. Is there any reliable way to boost fuel without doing an intank? I see on your sight that you have a Hypertech Inline. I did not no if you have made any changes to the car. Just curious to no. I was wanting to beef my fuel supply on my bolton and cam car but don't no what direction to go yet.

Hey Jason,

I have a totally aftermarket fuel system.

Removed stock tank, pump, filter and line.
Added 20 gall aluminum fuel cell.
-10AN line from tank to Aeromotive 1200lb/hr filter
-10AN line from Filter to pump
-8an fuel line from pump to Y-Block in engine bay
-8AN line from Y-Block to Nitrous distribution
-6AN line from Y-Block to fuel rails
-4AN line from tee to fuel pressure gage
Fuel rail exits to Holley billet regulator.

Measured Flow:

Measured at the fuel rail @ 43psi & 13.8 volts

96.3 gal/hr (364 liters/hr)
606.3 lbs/hr
1102.5hp BSFC = 0.55

I credit this fuel set-up for keeping the motor together all this time.

Thanks George thats one nice setup. I no you metioned that you could support 1200 hp. I did not think that Hypertech was going to cut it. Have you seen the MSD inline Booster are they worth going with or should I just get like a Walbro intank? I am just running a 100 shot but want to be safe. Want a motor to live for a little while like yours .
