hypertech programming and spray good or bad?
Its not recommended to run aggressive timing with nitrous. I don’t know about the LS1 but I’ve compared the factory tune with hypertech for my OBDII and there were only 4 to 6 cells in the upper rpm range that are 1 to 2 degrees higher than stock, that’s not aggressive and I’d run that, again no idea about LS1.
It would be a good idea to take off the power programing cuase a advance in timing is potentialy dangerous with the n20. But like sssalah said if its not to dramatic you could be alright with good fuel. You have to find out how uch the programmer advances timeing.
If you want to keep the Hypertech or any program that advances your timing, you'll need to get a timing retard box. They work well with the MSD ignition systems, Jacobs Electronics. Or you can get a N2O Mastermind by Jacobs which will retard timing when N2O is used. NX has the new Maximizer which is a clean set up but $$$. I've run through the programming and it seems to be well done. I don't feel comfortable splicing into the O2 wire so I'll solder and heat shrink into an O2 extention cable.
