How much nitrous will this handle???

I built this motor for nitrous use, and am currenlty spraying 300 shot to it... My question is how high do you think I could go???

The combo is:

4 bolt studded main 383 stroker (later model high nickel block)
Scat 4340 crankshaft
scat 4340 I beam rods w/ ARP 7/16 capscrews
JE 10:1 Custom Nitrous pistons
JE HNS (hardened nitrous series) rings
Comp nitrous hp (nx284h-13) hydraulic cam (changing to solid roller soon)
Dart Pro1 Aluminum 215cc heads
SFI Flywheel, and Hughes GM92 9" race converter

The car has a dedicated nitrous fuel system with a mallory comp 250 fuel pump (250 gph), and the fuel pressure is flowed at 10psi.. It's a Nitrous Express Gemini Quad dual stage plate kit... The first stage is good to 300shot, the second to 500 shot (800 total).... I have all the safety stuff (fpss, window switch, and dedicated fuel system...)

The car is running perfect launching on a 200 shot, and bringing in another 100 shot after shifting to second... I really want to launch on 200 shot, and bring in another 200 shot after shifting to second... You guru's think my engine will handle this??? According to JE the pistons will handle 500+ nitrous... I'm also not revin this thing through the roof, I shift at 6400 rpm... Here's a video of it running in Idalou Texas last week (4000 ft altitude)

Let me know what you guys think this will handle!!!!

IMHO Try 300 out of the hole and another 150 in the second hit. Your fuel presure tune up seems really high. What jet do you have in the flow guage to reach 10psi??? I am thinking more like 7.5lbs on a 77 jet.

You have a good set up.Its kinda similar to mine. However I was told by my machinest that 400 was the end of the line for that block still being safe.

I would be interested to see how much you pick up switching to a roller camshaft. Post results when you do .

It'll be awhile now before I upgrade to the roller cam..... This last weekend at the track I broke the driveline ... That was kinda scary.. I didn't change the nitrous at all.. Still launched on a 200 shot, and brought in 100.... The driveshaft started vibrating heavily about half track, and I should have let out, but I didn't... It broke at the top end of the track, and I rolled out a 10.87 @ 110... It twisted the bolt in caps on the pinion yoke, so I'm replacing everything from the slip yoke back.... Here's a vid of the run where it broke... (you can actually see it cross the left lane if you look really close)... I guess that's what I get for runnin on a stock 30 year old driveshaft...

According to NX, 10psi is what pressure to run it at... With the dual stage, I have to flow it twice... It has a regulator for each stage... On the 200 shot, I have a 57 fuel jet, and on the 100 shot, I have a 31 fuel jet... These are NX's baseline tuneups...(directly off the jet cards...)

Out of curiosity what does your car run off the juice?

With that crappy flat tappet cam??? Here, it's a 13 second car, but it was built to run on nitrous. I'm hoping after swapping to a solid roller cam that actually suits the heads, it'll run high 12's.... Tonight, where I live, density altitude is at around 5400 feet right now......
