how much N20 on a stock LT1?
how much N20 on a stock LT1?
I am in the works of buying a N.o.s dry plate kit for my internally stock LT1 with aprox 70k miles on it and was wondering how much I could spray safely? I was thinkg 75hp or max 100hp shot, what do you think?
thanks!
thanks!
Thanks for the reply! what are you running interms of fuel system? and should I do any upgrades to mine?my fuel pump is original should I change itor get in line fuel pump to boost pressure? sorry for all the questions but I am a N20 newbie and want to do right once with out blowing any thing up!
and also do you think that running a 100 shot will kill my 4L60?
btw: your T/A looks bad ***!!
Thanks!

I also wouldn't go over a 125 with a dry kit. Look into upgrading your injectors for a dry shot. It's good insurance, as the stock injectors tend to lock up a high fuel pressures. Good luck.
I took Derrick's advice sprayed the 175 several times with no problems at all. Also had ton's of runs with the 150 jets in with nothing but sucess. I did have a fuel pump also with colder plugs and a good ignition.

over 250 is asking for it.
i have a walbro 255lph in tank, and yes i recommend a fuel pump on ANY car pressing 8+ years or older. cheap insurance.
cant help much with dry kits,i refuse to work on or tune them unless the car has a killer engine management and fuel system to match.
thanks for the compliment on the car,i try to keep her looking decent.

As long as you have a FPSS, aren't you okay to run say 75 shot on a heads/cam car. I mean if fuel pump "dies", you'll have no pressure and therefore no nitrous. Works in theory, right? I'm thinking about nitrous for next spring btw.
Edit: I'll be going wet kit btw.

I have a MSD 6A and coil as ignition mods and will be getting accel 24# injectors from a friend that dosen't need them for pretty cheap, and now I am gonna look in to fuel pumps now so I can get all the parts I need to do this right b4 I start the install,
the colder plugs I new about allready and will get 2 steps colder, what plugs do you suggest?
thanks

Sounds like the perfect kit for you would be a Zex kit
...but i guess NOS will work also. Anyhow, the zex kit comes with an inline fuel pump. Is an really cool kit also. Pics of it in my car on my site. I have run it for a long time now on 125shot with no injector lockup...using my stock injectors. Most people just read that "tip" and repeat it as advice. I think you would need a decently modded engine and a 125shot to even have a chance at locking them up. Either way, with small shot dry kit your engine should be fine. Just watch out for detonation...thats what crated my forged 355
