How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
just wondering how many of you LT1 guys are spraying with the 10-bolt and are having it hold up?
Im planning on spraying a NX 100 shot here as soon as i get my kit hooked up, and i have 3:23 gears. On the street i run nitto 555's and looking to switch to the drag radial, and at the track i run 16 in. ET streets.
im also going to put a T/A girdle on it.

Re: How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
well, they aren't lt1 cars, but both still have 10 bolt in them. i did put 3.73 gears in them. they did have 3.23 gears from the factory. run nitto DRs on both cars. wil lbe using the ET Streets this saturday. going to break a ten. 10 second ET or ten bolt. either will do.
Re: How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
A4's are much easier on the rear than M6's; it's the shock that breaks the rears. You could always hit the spray after the launch if you're really worried.
Re: How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
I spray a 150 shot off the line. Everything was good until I started cutting 1.5X's 60 ft's. Then I cracked the carrier, and smoked and axleshaft. It's not if, but when with an M6

What kind of 10-bolts ARE they?
If they aren't the newer F-Body 7.625" rears, then they are either 8.2 or 8.5 corporates.
The 8.5" corporate is as strong as the old 12-bolt, if not stronger.

Agree about the "when not if".

Re: How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
Sprayed 150 off the line w/ stock 10-bolt stock w/3.42 gear (99 LS1 Zexel). Ran a 11.34@119 cutting 1.66. Ran the stock rear with both et streets and et street radials. Now I got a 12-bolt strange w/3.73

Re: How many of you spray with the stock 10-bolt
10 bolt out of a ls1 6speed, 3.42's from an ls1 6speed, with the slp posi. All put in my 94 z auto cuz I destroyed my 3.73's messing around on the street. Best its gone is 1.53 on a 150 shot. Its gone numerous 1.57's. Nitrous comes on at 2600rpms have a 2800 stall. This is all on mt et dr's. No girdle.

What are the signs of the diff going?
I've never sprayed my car yet, but will be doing so this spring through a m6 and stock 3.42 gears on et street dr's. Added a LPW girdle and pray that it lasts a little while
