How many ways can you inject nitrous?

Is direct port the only way? I'm new to the nitrous thing and I really think I'm gonna try it soon. Thanks for any info.

there are 3 main ways..... Direct port a nozzle for each cylinder.

single fogger, placed in front of the Throttle Body (very popular, easier toinstall, cheaper then DP)

plate systems that use either spray bars,or nozzles in plate, mostly for carb style applications.

direct port is usually for when you are spraying upwards of 200.....150 or less fogger or plate will work just fine.

How would I go about insalling a fogger kit?

i would go with the plate setup, very easy to take out if you want to and no modifying of stock parts.

installing a direct port fogger requires removing the manifold and drilling each runner for a fogger nozzle, then bending lines to the solenoids/distribution blocks.

you know they have the new kits, i think NX sells them. Instead of all that, you just put these new nozzles where the fuel injectors are, then put the fuel injectors on top of that. I think it's pretty neat, I would look into that too.

NOSzles they call them, I was going to ask out of curiosity whether anyone has used them, dont seem like they would work very well.

NOSzles are made by (surprise) NOS, not NX.

I've seen the NOSzle setup on Second Street Speed's Pro 5.0 Mustang..... running 7.0x last year, and about to break into the 6's. They did extensive testing of the NOSzles to make sure they did not interfere with the injector spray pattern, and were able to verify that. They now use the NOSzles, but as a "dry" system, hooking up only the nitrous. .I would guess they are spraying at least 600HP.

This has got to be one of the cleanest ways to handle a direct port system, but it seems a little expensive. But when you think about the fact that you don't even need to pull the intake, no welding, easy to remove and use on your next car, etc.... may be a bargain.

So with NOSzles you put them in with your fuel injectors and run a line in front of the tb and it will work?

the NOSzles have nothing to do with the throttlebody. they sit underneath the injectors.

I think I may have confused him when I said Second Street was using them in a "dry" system.....

To clarify..... the NOSzle inserts between the injector and the intake manifold. It has connections for both fuel and nitrous, and is intended to function as a wet system. No other fuel or nitrous connections required anywhere else, as Dirk points out.

Second Street just has a strong preference for dry systems, using the capabilities of a MoTeC aftermarket ECU to control the fuel.

i've seen a customer use the nozzel set as a two stage fuel enrichment was through a fast set up never seen such a clean two stage fogger used the fuel side of the nozzel as second stage
