How many keep their N2O tanks visible? Poll

I'm really curious... how many of you hide your tanks in the trunk or spare tire well? How many make it visible on top of the rear deck or in the rear passenger area?

Are you putting it there for other racers, nosy people, or police?

Thanks!

I have mine in the spare tire well,at first it was to kinda hide it. Now i just pull that panel off when im racing. I will be moving the bottle to the "hump" behind the rear seat soon, cause the battery is going back to the spare tire spot. i dont really "hide" the nitrous anymore, but i used to hide every part of the system just for those "money" races.

I would mount the bottle in the well, but i still want my T tops there.

My bottle is down in the well. I have a hard top car and I rarely need to carry anything, so the well was a nice accessible spot for me. Can't readily be seen from outside the car either

Now my switch panel on the other hand can't be hidden... it's right in place of the old HVAC controls. Next I am fabbing up a gauge panel for the cassette holder that will also have a USB port for pcm programming.

i put mine in the spare tire well . not to hide it .. but its because its the best spot for a bottle ...

maybe i'll move it up later and mount it to my cage to save the money for a remote opener !!

I keep mine in open view. I have nothing to hide, everyone knows I run on the bottle.

So far it sounds like it is in the wheel well not to hide from the police or competitors, but because it is convenient. If you had the option again, it sounds like most would put it in the open regardless of the police.

spare tire well, best place hands down. Get a electric nitrous pressure guage and a remote bottle opener, never have to go back there unless u need to refill it, . I like my setup, wouldn't do it any other way.

My bottle is in plain view on top of the gas tank area between the down bars of my roll cage. At some point the "sleeper" look has to give way to physics (cam & exhaust etc.) and NHRA regulations (roll cage, battery disconnect switches for relocated batteries etc.) so I just quit trying and put it for all to see....like it or not.

I have my bottle hidden in the spare tire compartment.

But everybody I know, knows I run nitrous.

Must be because I purge before each race.

Mine is in the spare tire well. I don't flaunt what I have (i.e. with stickers all over the place). I especially like the look on unsuspecting racers/ricers who think they can take me, then they get the see the purge spray and you see the "Oh ****" look on their face.

I won't lie. I like showing mine off.. Just not to idiots.. I've hate people saying. "OHH YOU'VE GOT NOS?!" And I have to correct them, "no, I'm have a N.O.S Brand system.." Maybe I should have hidden it.. Mines in plain view(well if you can see through my tint) Right under the glass in the hatch.. I love it there! And with the purges I've installed you can't hide it either.

Mine is in the trunk, but you can see it clearly (no back seat) from peeking in the front or once I pop the trunk lid.. No sense in trying to pretend I can get my Satty to go 13.8's all motor or try to hide it.. I don't mind people knowing that's what it took to make her go faster...They know anyway whenever I purge on those hot sticky days.. hehehe
I don't driver her on the street either, or maybe I would have hidden it (with fewer decals) from nosy people and police. It's not illegal to run around with it there, but I bet it doubles my chances of a ticket when I get busted for speeding..
I agree about the NOS thing. It's a brand name, and sometimes I do correct people. "No I do not have N.O.S., I have NX, but yes I run nitrous. "
