You can log the run if you have a way of doing it, like a laptop hooked to the car.

Point timing light at timing tab and note the timing.
Put 12v (or whatever the box uses) on the retard signal wire and note the timing.

Voila!

It shouldn't show up directly in the logs because the timing is not pulled through the PCM but through the Mallory. Simply put, the Mallory intercepts the signal to the coil and delays it the specified amount.

I have a circuit using a relay to illuminate a LED when the signal voltage is being supplied to the yellow wire input (685 hyfire). The lighting of the LED does not actually tell me the Mallory is doing its job, only that it has gotten the signal voltage to do it.

i have the retard wire hokked to the noids power wire so if they get juice the box will get juice.

I used a relayed circuit because my setup has a test feature where the car doesn't have to be running to hear and see that all the solenoids and circuits are working. Your way of doing it is better as it is bullet proof.

i tested it last night. i set the box to pull a bunch of timing and disconnected the WOT switch. with the fuel and n2o lines not hooked up i let the car idle and hit switch. the car stumbled hard until i let go of the button.

I don't know what nitrous kit you have but it sounds like your Mallory timing retard is working. I couldn't do it like you did because the Zex nitrous kit requires the TPS wot voltage to be detected. The system has an integrated nitrous management unit on a circuit board inside a box.

You said its a NX wet right?

Single Nozzle? Or MAF ends ? Or some other set up?

How do you like it?
