I've never done a bottle, but I've done lots of other stuff. If you have a bench grinder, you can get buffing wheels from a local hardware store along with compounds. I use a spiral sewn buffing wheel and black emery compound (I think these are the most agressive). I'm not sure how smooth the finish is on your bottle, if its got any kind of texture you'll probably need to sand it somehow until its perfectly smooth. The smoother you get it the more it reflects

the finish is real smooth, I do nto have a grinder. but do have a buffer. if i take paint thinner and take all the paint off then put polishing compound on and buff it will that work?

A paint buffer and compound? I don't think that'll work...paint is softer I would think and it wouldn't be agressive enough...but you can try it. Do you have a die grinder and air compressor? They sell like 4" buffing wheels for those. Try here for buffing stuff.

My NOS bottle was powdercoated if I recall, Jazco paint stripper worked like a charm though! I sanded it down until I was up to 2000 grit paper (wet) and then I broke out the polishing compound and buffing wheels. Get it real nice and then go get it powdercoated clear, or it will look like crap in a matter of weeks.
