Question How do I install the fpss? NX kit

I bought a NOS fpss and it has no tee fitting or anything just a 1/8npt port. What kind of tee do I need and do I need another line? Thanks, Randy

There's lots of ways you can do it. The easiest would probalbly be to go to the local hardware store and buy a brass female 1/8" T and a closed 1/8" brass male nipple (unless you can find a T with only 1 male end.) Take the compression/hose fitting that's currently in the fuel solenoid out (the one that connects to the fuel supply). Take this fitting and screw it into one side of the T. Screw the nipple in the other side of the T. Take the nipple (which is now connected to the T), and screw it into the fuel solenoid. Screw the FPSS into the branch end of the T.

This is assuming your running the small nos type solenoids with an 1/8"npt female opening

They are the solenoids that come with the NX kit.

Thumbs up

I'm not sure what size the NX solenoid port is. If it's not 1/8", then get a T that has the same size openings that the solenoid has and follow the same directions I gave you above, with one execption. Get a reducing bushing to screw into the branch end of the T, so that your FPSS will still fit.

If you have any doubts about these instructions, simply print this thread out and take it to the hardware store along with your solenoid, inlet fitting, and fpss. The hardware store employees should be able to hook you up. It's just basic plumbing afterall.

And if you dont already have any, get some telfon paste while your there, for each threaded connection.
