How Dangerous is N20?

If I got rear ended real bad and my N20 was in the back hatch? How dangerous would this be? Would by car explode into flames? Thats probably the only thing holding me back at this point.

No, its non-flamable. The worst thing that could happen is the bottle could be knoked loose and hit you in the head...ouch.

As an oxidizer its safer than oxygen as it requires alot of heat to break it down into oxygen and nitrogen

But in the case that you do get rear-ended you should get out of the car and run as fast as you can while yelling "NAWWSSSSS!"

Nitrous oxide is not for amatuers!
I've seen the way you drive, you have a heavy foot.
You'll blow yourself up.

First of all I never get tired of people sh*ting on that movie .
Nitrous Oxide is an oxidizer but decomposes onto Oxygen and Nitrogen @ 617'F
If you don't want the bottels to get crushed incase of rearend hit put the
(yelling) "NAWWSSSSS!"
on the fuel and wheel hump in the back not down in the hatch part.
It would be hard to crush one of them and not to easy to puncture one eather unless your getting shot at, if so then
get out of the car and run as fast as you can while yelling "NAWWSSSSS!"
and watch your car blow up .
I think the 10 gallons gasoline in your flimsy steel fuel tank is more dangerous than 1100 psi of Nitrous Oxide in a bottel that will burst at around 3500psi and is normaly closed and some times not even in there.
