heads/cam+boltons on stock shortblock, spray?

ok, assuming youve got a good heads/cam package, and all the boltons, in an M6 you are probably around 400rwhp, but still have the stock shortblock (pistons, rods, crank).

is anyone spraying that setup?

ive heard the stock bottom end is only good for about 450-500 rwhp...............so spraying that kind of setup would be just a little over the "safe" limit.........does anyone have any experience?

I run the time in my sig with heads, cam, bolt-ons, and NX. The cars raceweight is 3650, so I know it's pushing over 500RWH on the bottle. 75k mile stock shortblock.

i will be spraying my heads / cam car this year .. untouched bottom end .. scary thought it is ... im puttin down just under 400 rwhp .. and gonna spray 100 (125 if needs be to get in the 10s)

im praying to the LT1 gods

though i will make sure i run a tad rich and take out a tad more timing .. but the rods dont care about that stuff .. they will break under too much stress

sideways, are you still running a 10-bolt in your car? I see you have a 6 speed. Nice NA mph. I'm pulling 112 with my auto NA. What heads and cam are you running?

thanx oldschool

i do have a strange 12 bolt with 3.73s ... running 3500 race weight (running out of fuel above 4500 rpm badly with stock pump.. my AFR was in the low 14s at 100% inj DC at around 6000 )

this year, 4.10s are going in + walbro + 36#ers - some more weight loss + another dyno tune .. plannin on trapping 118-119 NA .. then whatever on N2O

cam is CC306 .. heads flow 302 / 224 @ .550 .. only dynoed 371 / 342

im sure without the 12 bolt and the street twin i would've been running 117.5s

btw, those times are on ET streets .. spinning all the way thru 1st (HAL's + 28" QTPs should fix that this year )
