Grrr, what happened?

I have an NX 100 shot on my 96 mostly stock Trans Am. It was put on last fall and I slowly noticed that it was having a hard time starting like it wasn't getting fuel. I put it away for the winter and when spring came it didnt start. I took it to my mechanic and he said the fuel pump shorted out somehow. He said the sending unit(? I think) was completely melted.

Sooo, was the nitrous wired wrong? I would take it to the place it was put in at and complain, but it went bankrupt.
If it was wired wrong, How do I fix it?

I have been dealing with nitrous for 11 years.....and have NEVER seen a nitrous system that get's wired into anything near the fuel pump. The sending unit is only for the fuel level guage, the pump isnt hooked to any "idiot light/guage".

Sounds like a bad coincidence.

I wouldn't think it's nitrous related. Fuel pump failure is (unfortunately) all too common with GM products.
