Got nitrous?
Hey fellas,
Im currently in the middle of building a 90 something lt1/t56 combo to swap into my 84 formula. Heres what I have.LE2 heads, LE intake, BBK 58 mm, Headman Headers, GM847 cam. My block is currently at the shop getting some cheapo procomp rods with arp cap screws, Speed pro standard forged pistons, New cam bearings, new rod bearings and balance everything out. What kind of shot of nitrous would you feel safe running? 50?75? i dont want alot, just that extra if I need it. I project ill be able to break 11s with this car since its about 3000 lbs if not less. Ill have ram hd clutch and 4.10 9 bolt bw rear. Should my shot be wet or dry also? I know I need to do alot of research, but i need to know what to look at first
Dustin

If you're getting good rods and pistons you'll be able to support around 200hp of nitrous depending on how you plan on injecting it. A dry kit being good, a wet being better, and a plate/direct port being best. A plate/direct port kit is going to be the safest way to deliver a good nitrous/fuel mixture. 50/75 horse you're not even going to feel with your setup.
Mine is set up with a six speed right now, there is some safety wiring you'll need to safely run it. You're going to want a wide open throttle switch (mandatory to trigger the system) but also a window switch so when you are shifting the nitrous turns off, really important. The more automation you can build into the system the safer it is, pissing with buttons and stuff is kind of a waste. It's going to add up fast though.
