Dual State Nitrous??

I have a TPI with forged pistons and I currently run a NOS 150 shot. I added another wet NOS kit in hopes as using it with the original stage. I only tried the second stage a few times with the first but it never helped my ET's. I think it might be that my intake manifold will not flow both of the wet systems efficiently. My motor should be able to handle both stages and the system is hooked up right cuz without the first system engaged it works great. Any input would be great cuz the track is almost open!

If you run 2 NOS systems together for a 2 stage, with stock jetting, you will not make any more power. The 2 kits combined will make the mixture so fat, that you may even slow down.

dual stage is not a good way to go in my opinion if you want more nitrous later on get a nos timing control

and btw where in nortern il are u from???

I am kinda confussed because the selenoids won't handle more than 150 so i need the second system to make more power. So are you saying that i should use a timing control unit on the second system at the big end of the track? I have tried just a 75HP shot after the 1/8th marker with no avail either. I need to go faster!

I am from McHenry, really really Northwest suburb about 15 miles south of the Wisconsin border. I know a girl from Darian and I have a some friends in La Grange so i know where you are from.

for more nitrous dual stage is definately the way to go.

BUT,on a TPI car I would use the NOS wet plate, then a direct port. Launch off the plate then swap to the direct port for the best amount of traction/control.

Saying that,i dont know how he has his setup/wire,wether it be 1 plate 1 nozzle,or 2 plates stacked,or 2 nozzles.

Timing control wont do much but help traction/retard timing,and progressive's are a crutch(trust me,i know this ).

Both of my kits are wet kits and i have tried bigger jets with no reduction in ET because the selonoids are too small to flow more than the recommended 150 HP setting.

Dirk--I have my two plate systems stacked in front of the throttle body. Are you saying i should change my second stage to a dry kit and lanuch off of the wet kit and then switch on the dry kit? i get plenty of traction the intake just doesn't seem to handle the extra mixture of fuel/nitrous.

BTW, What should my A/F ratio be on nitrous??

I image that running both plates together are interferring with spray patterns of the individual plate's spray bars, and you're not getting a good nitrous/fuel mix.

I had a similar problem using NOS nozzles in the airbox. Since I've switched to NX nozzles, I've had no problems though. Currently running a 150/150 shot...

if you ever notice other dual stage "plates" (mostly carb'd applications),they either cross the spray bars,or have them split.
Stacking the plates will do EXACTLY what Custom said above.

What iwas more referring to was use 1 of the plates you have, then get a wet direct port kit plumbed into the TPI runners.
The direct ports are capable of 300 or more, depending what system. That way you can launch off the 150 hit, shut it off when the fogger comes on with 200+ or more if the car can handle it.
