Do n20 bottles need to be hydrotested?
Do n20 bottles need to be hydrotested?
I am loking at buying a used dry shot and the 5# bottle has no date on it whatsoever. Will they even fill it?
I have owned a paintball business for years, and I know co2 and HPA tanks need to be tested every 3 to 5 years depending on which standard was in place when the bottle was manufactured.
It would seem logical they would need to be teated...would I have trouble trying to get this tank filled?

Yes they do need a stamp date on them. Now you might fine a shop that will fill the bottle and don't care about the date and you might run into that shop that wont fill it cause it dont show a test date. They are done every 3 years.

Just a little tip. I had mine done at a fire extinguisher place. They do our air pack bottles every year, and our extinguishers every two. I just leave my bottle at the fire station and they pick it up with the air bottles and the dry chem extinguishers. When they drop it off, they charge the dept, and I give my chief $20.
