Diy Lt1 Wet Kit
Diy Lt1 Wet Kit
ok i bought a cc224/236 cam with the idea of supercharging but i won't have the money for the kit for a few years yet. so, this winter i am going through the trans and the rear and putting the cam in....
i'm debating about pistons, i want to put some forged pistons in but since i'm thinking about running nitrous until i can afford the supercharger i'm thinking about going with a higher comp ratio and changing them when the supercharger goes in.
so assuming i drop forged pistons in, i'll have the 224/236 cam with the roller rockers, new springs retainers and pushrods.
how much can i spray it and what type of compression ratio should i go with. i'm replacing the fuel pump since it's crapping out on me, i want to run a wet system borrow my freinds bottle and plumb up a few wet nozzles before the tb.
how much will i be able to run without running into fuel issues running off one pump and stock lines?
thanks,
mike

i was running a 175 hit with stock lines/regulator/injectors and a walbro 255 in tank. ran a 150 shot for about 2 years and the 175 for the last 5 months.
As far as compression, stock or 11:1 is fine, some guys go as high as 12:1,but tuning will be crucial to prevent detonation.

i guess the real question is what will be the first problem, not enough fuel or trashed rods/crank. and were is the line. i'm thinking about a double shot, start small and kick in another at higher rpms.
