Direct port advantages? Progressive control?
Direct port advantages? Progressive control?
I know with my current bolt-on setup, that a direct port system is unecessary. But, was just curious...
Any other advantages? Even distribution is a plus, anything else? Is it safer, for the motor? What about disadvantages? Tougher to tune? More problems? Or do the advantages only come into play with higher HP applications?
And is anyone running a direct port in this kind of situation, and what are you using for jets, control, etc. Could you just use the biggest jets you'd ever want to safely use, lets say 150 shot, and then control that with a digital unit, drop down to 50% if you want? Or would that be too risky, better to change out the jets?
I'm just considering kit prices and future mods. Direct port doesn't seem to involve too much more than a single nozzle system... I plan on getting some sort of digital control unit anyways, just thought it might be a good way to control a direct port system, as well as being able to easily upgrade or sell in the future.

I have the NX Maximizer, and am running a single fogger setup for now.
The NX Maximizer(progressive) is a nice unit, doesnt use 2 soleboids, and is all digital easier to setup than the other dial types.
I have it on GOOD resources that NX is coming out with a NEW progressive, built in window switch, and supposedly with a timing retard.
