difference between dry and wet kit

difference between dry and wet kit

what is the difference between wet shot and dry shot? im confused, does one add more power? someone please enlighten me a little, or point me in the right direction.

Basically...a wet kit introduces nitrous and fuel as a mixture, where a dry kit introduces nitrous only and uses the injectors to add the extra fuel.

This has been debated...hotly at times...on this board in the past. I think the general opinion is that a wet kit is the easiest to install and tune on a typical street/strip car. There are some outstanding dry kits as well, but the good ones are big bucks, and are really, for all intents and purposes, a race only item.

The vast majority of fast power adder cars on this site use wet setups.

thank you, nicely put. so, is a 150 wet shot safe for long term use? i remember seeing somthing about that not hurting the engine too much.
