Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
I purchased a TNT kit used and it came with most of the accessories. I have the diagram for the system, but I do not however have a diagram of the wiring for the NOS bottlewarmer nor the purge kit. I have the wiring harness and relay needed for the bottlewarmer, but just need the info on how to wire it then also the purge kit. If anyone has a diagram it would be great. Also wanted to find out if this is the right FPSS to use, NOS-15685NOS in the summit catalog? Lastly, I was hoping to find out where I can buy a short braided line to run from the schrader valve to the connector with brass T that I will be hooking up in the line for the FPSS and my electrical fuel pressure gauge sender. I am going to be using a -4AN 90 coupler (NOS-17535NOS) off the schader valve which this line will connect to.
Thanks for the info
Craig.

Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
Umm, here's a quick guide.
Battery--wire--Switch--wire--bottle warmer (positive side)
Ground--wire--bottle warmer (negative side)
The same goes for the purge:
Battery--wire--Button--wire--purge (positive side)
Ground--wire--purge (negative side)
I suggest letting someone else rig up your n2o kit because if you don't understand these concepts yourself and your engine into a lot of trouble.

Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
hmm....well I was told that hotwiring the bottlewarmer is not a good idea
I have the wire harness for it which includes the relay. Please keep your commets to yourself if you have a problem with what I have asked

Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
You are correct.... the bottle warmer should be wired through a relay. The NOS instructions show it, along with how to incorporate the included thermostat. Its also important to wire the positive side of the heater power supply through a key "switched" power source, and not directly from the battery. This prevents a serious bottle depressuring or even an explosion, like the one that was documented with some pretty ugly pictures a few years ago. After "stacking" the rupture discs in the blowoff valve, this individual accidently hit the bottle warmer switch while "cleaning the interior". Since it wasn't hooked to a switched power source, it didn't take long for the bottle to blow, taking the back half of the little Nissan and a good part of his garage with it.......
I also wired the purge solenoid through a relay, but the NOS instructions don't show it.
I have the NOS instructions (clear from above you have the NOS bottle heater, but which brand purge?) for the bottle heater and the purge. If you can supply a fax number, I will send them to you.
Funny... I'm a graduate engineer with a very good understanding of wiring "concepts".... but I always look at the manufacturer's instructions before doing something

Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
Thanks for the info Fred, I unfortuantely do not have access to a fax machine. Will have a look and see if any of my buddies from work might have one. The purge kit is the TNT purge kit, it has just the two wires coming off for negative and positive, I did have an extra relay in the parts I received, which leads me to think they he may have run the relay with the purge kit.
Thanks again, will get back to you about a number.

Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
If you have a rear defroster, hook the heater into that. Pretty slick. Just run one wire of the heater to one defroster plug and the other heater wire to the defroster. Then, your bottle heater is your rear defroster. The good thing is it will only work when the ignition is on, it's a timed circuit, the switch is already there, and it has it's own relay. I've been using it for a year now. Works really slick. Just don't keep it on too long with the key on and the car not running cause it will suck the life out of your battery after a while. Just a suggestion.

whatsup/Doug: I'll fax it Monday.
Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
I dont see any problem with wiring it directly to an 'always on' source. As long as you have a temp regulated or pressure regulated heater it should be fine. I bought a power inverter off of ebay and used one of those 500watt AC-powered temp regulated bottle warmers (that folks use mainly in their trailers), it worked SO much better than those cheap-o NOS/NX/ZEX 200watt dc-blankets, and total weight was only about 4lbs more, not to mention I could run my laptop (when it ran out of juice), as well as a portable mini-cooler. =)
Re: Diagram for NOS bottle warmer
Thanks Fred, will be looking out for it.
Sorry Chad, did not think about it. Could not remember if you had the NOS warmer or not. How are things going with your heads? I must give you a call sometime, mine should have been delivered 2 days ago, but UPS seems to be holding onto them for some odd reason I have no idea??? Just wish they would deliver them, will be calling them again tomorrow
