Bottle gauge position

I am just installing a Ny-trex wet EFI 100 shot Nitrous kit part no:10012 on my car. I have purchased a few extra safety Items after studying the N20 section on here.

http://www.ny-trex.com/html/ny-trex_kits_2.html

Msd 8969 rpm window switch

Fuel pressure safety switch

Blow down adapter and tube

Nos-17535nos 90 degree 4an fitting to go on my Shcrader valve.

Bottle pressure gauge and adapter

My question is regarding the bottle gauge. My bottle valve is the same as an Edelbrock one with an allen keyed grub screw on the side of the valve.

It is the same thread as the bottle gauge as I have removed it and trial fitted the bottle gauge in there.

Is there any reason why I can't mount my gauge here?

I want to use the adapter to mount my FPSS on the Schrader valve along with the extra fuel pipe.

I have added photos to my yahoo page of the bottle valve and how I would like to mount the gauge and the conventional way most of you mount your gauges. Click on the My 95 Z28 Camaro below for pics.

Re: Bottle gauge position

The guy I purchased my kit from says it is ok to mount my gauge on the side of the bottle valve as I would like it.

But I am surprised no one on this message board is doing the same thing?

While I'm on here how do you add an avitar?

Re: Bottle gauge position

I decided to run the Nitrous feed line from the trunk to the front of the car today. I have a 14ft nos line so I went from the bottle which is in the hollow where the t/tops live when there off! about days a year ( valve on drivers side) under the carpet down behind the rear passenger seat over towards the passenger side. Next under the carpet along by the passenger door between the seat and the seat belt mounting up behind the kick panel and thru the hole behind the PCM which is where most of you guys run them.

This only left about 18" sticking out under the hood and not enough to reach anywhere near close to the top of the inlet manifold. So I decided to remount the bottle in the spare wheel compartment instead this gave me about another 18" of free nos line to bring in over towards the front of the inlet manifold.

That's where I originally thought of mounting the bottle so thats where it is leaves me 4 holes to plug but WFT you learn by your mistakes.

I think I would need about 20ft of nos line to bring it right to the front of the car and mount the solonoids where the air take used to be
