Battery and N02 in spare tire location.

Is it possible or even safe to have the battery and probably a 10 or 15 lb N02 bottle in the spare tire location, or is this just something you have to compromise?

You could probably mount one of the other, it will be difficult to cram both in there. Might try putting the bottle in the spare tire well and put the battery relocation box in the actual trunk spot.

I saw a guy in town that used the spray foam insulation to set his bottle in the spare well.. I dunno about that w/ a bottle warmer, tho. It is pretty cramed back there w/ just a bottle. You'd need the batt c/o switch anyway for rear mount, right? -For NHRA stuff that is.

Nitrous Outlet sells the custom bracket plates that mount back there and you mount your bottle on top of it. That is what I am using.

I was thinkign about trying to do both in there as well, I measured it out and to do it you won't relly be NHRA compliant because there is no way to seal it off, but you should have enough room to mount it in the well, and use another nitrous mounting bracket maybe like the nitrous outlet one or at least like a few I have found online above it, but you can't seal the battery off seperatly if they are both there...

I am now debating on trying it or not because I have been told by a few different people the plastic cover over that section is not a legal bulkhead, and a few say it is...

Anyone know for sure???

the plastic is not a bulkhead. you need a vented battery box that is nhra approved (or passes its specs) or to get a bulkhead. i beleive you can buy a bulkhead from wolfe racing. i just put a box in mine and wired the switch. if you have questions or want to see pictures of how i did it just send me a pm.

electricity + nitrous = problem waiting to happen. I would mount the battery in the left corner. It fits perfectly in the left back corner without even having to take your speaker box off. Just make sure you tie/weld that son of a B down really good otherwise it will take your head off in a crash flying forward.

Will a battery fit in the rear drivers side panel even with a bose speaker back there, or are you talking about in the actual trunck space. Doesnt look like there is enough room. I'd like to have both the battery and my N02 bottle back there, but if its not possible, I will just leave the battery up front, or make some kind of custom mount for the N02 bottle in the rear seat area and just take out the rear seats.
