bad miss on the bottle?

i cant really feel the miss (or whatever) on the motor but as soon as i lay into a 125 shot it seems to have a miss. it starts out great and falls on its face about 4500 rpms. ive changed the plugs and wires. i changed the opti and coil about 10,000 miles ago. could the opti be going out already? what else would make it fall off like that if not a miss? thanks

What type of plugs are you running? And at what gap? I've heard that nitrous can actually blow the spark out, if you're running too big of a gap. Generally .040 is recommended.
I have no idea wheather that's actually true, but I've heard it more than once.
Also too lean/rich mixture can cause symtoms like you described.
Are you running wet or dry? Fpss set to shut off n20 noid only? And lastly are you getting large amounts of knock retard?

im running ngk tr6's gapped at .045 (w/ msd 6A) i wouldnt imagine it having to much knock retard, i just installed an lt4 km. as for it running lean, i have 43 psi at wot and running the jets sent with the kit. hell i guess im gonna try and change the opti again this weekend and see if thats it. it is leaking oil around the timing cover seal,i dont know if that would shorten the life of an opti? i appreciate the help though

Try a lower shot and see what happens. you could be getting Knock retard or low fuel pressure. Maybe to rich too I ran my 150 shot a little rich when I first got it on and it had a sputter to it not real bad but I could tell it wasnt right so I put in the Jets NX called for and it was fine. I would do alot more checking out before I changed an opti again.

my bottle pressure stays between 95 and 1050 psi. how would i know if its running rich? i dont see and smoke and cant really smell anything. im running a nitrius works plate with nx kit 20920 but that should really matter. im using the jets nitrous works calls for.

just so you know i took the opti off today and the hole in the back that fits to the cam was broke! one side of it (half the circle) was broke off, nothing but a spring. so im hopping that when i got into the higher rpm's that the cam gear was slipping inside that hole and there was my miss. we'll see tomorrow. thanks for the suggestions guys

Also try dropping your gap down too .42 - .40. 1 or 2 thou can make a huge difference.
