i wasnt planning on even running one but i figured if im doing it the right way il do everything right. also, with a purge kit, would this effect the placement of the nitrous filter?

The first link you posted is a AN to NPT conversion fitting. The next link is the actual filter.

thats what the pic looks like, but i beleive it is in fact a small filter no? the description clearly states it is a filter, but i agree it looks like a small adapter.

heres a better question...

according to Dynotune's website, some of the NX solenoids have 1/4 NPT as opposed to most other brands that feature 1/8NPT.

it says this here...
http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...s/prodView.asp

heres me solenoids, nitrous on left, fuel on right. that looks like a 1/4"NPT inlet compared to the smaller fuel fittings doesnt it? so i would need the larger filter fitting. please confirm for me.lol

sorry for craptastic pics too.

Those are both filters the first one has a screen in the side that goes into the solenoid. In all honesty the filter fittings work pretty good I don't think you would have any problems running them. And they come in diffrent sizes. A 15560 would be a -4 x 1/4 NPT and a 15568 would be a -6 x 1/4 NPT.

WE carry the NX brand Filter fittings. They will match the fittings you already have. We carry the nOS and the nX cannester style filters as well

i saw that Dave, however its a little more than i want to spend. im gonna go with the dynotune filter and screw it right into the inlet of the N2O solenoid and hook up the main bottle line to that. i beleive that will take care of it.

The NX filter fittings are only $15 and will not be a restriction.

The filter fittings are not listed on the site at the moment...

they look just like this but have a filter built into the fitting...similar to the NOS one you posted first....

alright great. when i call in the next week or so and make my order, should i just ask for the -4an to 1/4 NPT filter fitting? this would allow me to hook the main line to the -4an and the 1/4NPT directly into the inlet of the N20 noid correct? do you have a part number i can just tell them when i call? thanks a lot for the help everyone, especially Ray and Dave.

also, where will the purge solenoid need to be hooked up to the N2O noid? will i need a seperate adapter fitting or anything? i was planning on using a purge kit for -4an obviously and then the kit has 1/8" fittings. would i need a different adapter to go into the bigger 1/4 NPT fitting on the NX noid or what? like i said, im not sure exactly where the purge noid will go in relationship to the feed line and the noid and filter and everything else.

ok i think i have it figured out actually. would this work....

this filter fitting from the main line, into my 1/8"NPT purge noid...
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

then outa the purge this adapter directly into my N20 noid....
http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...roduct_id=1989

that would be all i would need correct?

On your nitrous solenoid does it have another port on the side, opposite the inlet...if so you will use a 1/8x1/8 union and hook the purge there...

Give me a call monday and I can go over everything with you...

yes it does!!! i forgot about that, it has a plug in it now. i bought the kit used so its kinda goofy, but your right there is a purge on the opposite side of the 1/4" inlet. would the filter fitting go between the main line and the noid then, and purge on opposite side with outlet just on the bottom? that would be a better setup and wouldnt need as many fittings. thanks again!!!

the filter fitting you need would be a 1/4x-4...it would go on the inlet for the nitrous solenoid and the feed line would attach to the filter.
