I have used the NX one. I recommend not spraying more than a 200 shot through those type of NXL nozzles.

Re: Anyone tried the direct port nozzle systems?

The shop the built my engine uses the NOS NOSzle system on their sub-7 second Pro5.0 Mustang. Before they decided to use it, they did some dyno testing to verify the NOSzle was not going to impact the injector in any negative way - e.g. altering the spray pattern. They were satisfied that it did not hurt anything. They were also skeptical about using the NOS nylon tubing for the nitrous, but that also turned out to be problem free as well.

Only caution.... they were only putting the nitrous through the NOSzle, prefering to run a dry system, as they do with 99% of the engines they build. Whether the NOSzle would have had a bigger impact on the injector when spraying fuel and nitrous was not tested. Obviously, they were spraying well over a 200-shot with the system, and probably (:wink more than the 300-shot the system is rated at.

I am not to keen on drilling and welding our intake(you probably know which one I am talking about) I have concerns on unknown paths taken as fas the above systems go, I aint gonna be a guinea pig on this engine for sure.

I saw a NXL system at a outlaw 10.5 race recently in Hattiesburg Miss on a big block 80 ish Malibu, it was running 5.30's, He was running the 5.30 index class, his kit was the first one I mentioned, here is a pic

Any input on these kits is needed.

Re: Anyone tried the direct port nozzle systems?

We noticed when spraying it would cause a very rich condition. We would jet down on the fuel side and it would still stay at <10:1 A/F. My guess is when spraying it was causing a vaccum in the injector tunnel pulling more fuel from the injectors. Now we backed down to a 200 shot and lower and it worked fine. This was my experience.
