That's a new one on me also. I can get very close to that price on a new NX system if you are in the market for a nitrous system. Thanks

yeah i really dont know too much about the system except for the fact that the guy i talked to said he would sell me the whole kit with an adapter that would make it a direct fit to the shrader (<--spell?) valve. then basically all i have to do is buy a toggle switch and eventuallly get some more safetey items and a purge kit and some other stuff. What price would you be able to get me a nitrous express kit?
thanks,
Chris

looks like a piece of......Stick with something that works. BTW, I sure as hell dont call that a kit. Youll need all the extras(ie. purge, heater, remote opener, etc).

So then really no one makes a kit then??? Really most "kits" still need items to make them complete. I guess if you include upgrade packs NX comes the closest. But you are right about the koala bottle kit looking like ***.

what about compucar? ever heard or used? come on there has to be a lower priced entry level nitrous set up. right now i have about 560 bucks to spend on a system but i also have to buy some of the safety stuff (window switch, fuel pressure gauge lean/rich gauge, better ignition) and so forth so i really dont feel like dishing out more then neccessary for for a kit. i know i will still need some more money to get all my stuff straight but its snowin here so i still got some more time to make some more money.

I just had a compucar direct port (pro blaster kit) but I sold it with my plumbed intake manifold to purchase a TNT dry direct port kit.

BTW...I originally had a zex kit, then traded it +cash for the compucar from some kid who bought the compucar kit then couldnt use it. Then, a month or so ago...racin LT1 told me about the new TNT dry direct port kit...I had to have it. So, this is where it gets weird. Once I got the compucar setup, the kid that sold it to me wanted it back, lol. So, I took my zex kit back from him plus the $400 back, and gave him the setup compucar kit with intake manifold. Now, I have the TNT kit on the way(and another intake, but I had that to) and I also have my compelte zex kit again.

Long story short...if your in the market for a zex kit, I might be able to hook you up. Its got all the extras(Ie, opener, heater, purge(but purge wouldnt come with it)) that I could sell you.
Email me at N2OpwrdLT1@aol.com if intersted. Pics of the kit installed in my car on my site in my sig. Zex kit was an awesome kit...and I wouldnt hesitate to run it again on a stock motor. Only problem was, I built up a forged bottome end for lots of N2O use....so I needed a bigger kit to compliment that.

Edit...Drew, I dont consdier any "kit" that is sold as such a true full kit unless it has all the extras(purge, heater, opener, gauges, fuel pump, etc), which as you know...nobody sells one like that yet. Even NX packages dont include eveything. I was basically saying...that "if he though that was a kit and all thats needed to really run nitrous" then he has a lot more buying/planing to do.

IMO a rich/lean gauge isnt worth much, stock O2 sensors are ignored at WOT due to them being a narrow band sensor. i have the rich lean guage in my car,and it looks good for a light show, but i dont trust it for nitrous use. Save some money there and get the rest of your stuff.

Slow...sent you a huge email.

Yeah, what racin said about the a/f or lean/rich guage is true. I had one for a few months then swapped it out. All itll do is go about 2bars into green and sit there till you get out of WOT mode. And any other time, its just an annoying light show that is still not really telling you much. Save up some cash to buy an electronic fuel presssure gauge...thatll cost you an easy $200 , but be useful at least.

I saw this guy selling his nitrous parts on ebay for several months now and his prices are quite reasonable. I have herd alot of nitrous people's opinions about all different brands. Some people love NOS and some hate it. Some swear by NX and others don't like it. And the list goes on and on....

I am probably going to use this guys 4150 spray plate for my chevelle. It has 76 spray holes compared to a NOS plate that has 8 holes. I can't imagine this new plate not performing good. I guess I will have to try it and see.

But if anyone has any input on this guy and his products...would be greatly appreciated !!

Ok guys, hot off the presses or shall I say Email.

I asked this guy about providing me more info about his nitrous products and here is exactly what he sent me...

"www.coldfusionnitrous.com we sell direct replacement parts for NOS.
everything we sell is made in the U.S.A. not Mexico or any 3rd world country
like NX and NOS. We sell about 600 kits a month and several hundred a month
in the U.K.. Our plates are run on a CNC and we only use the highest quality
6061 billet aluminum material for our plates unlike NOS and NX use CAST
molds. Our plate is exactly the same as a big shot NOS plate except for the
higher quality and lower price. We also sell to Reher-Morrison, Pat Musi,
Tony Christian and many other huge names in drag racing."

So I will probably be using his 400 hp 4150 plate this year.
