Well, I am hooked. Went from a blower, to spray, and wont be going back for some time.
Ran today in some pretty decent weather. Track hooked ok early in the day, then the $%&* ricers started pulling water up to the starting line. First pass on motor I pulled a 1.68 60ft, and ran a 12.2@111 on motor. Ran another motor pass but spun the ET Streets. Then it was time for the spray. First spray run with a NOS 150 shot out of the hole ended up with mucho wheel spin getting me a 1.85 60' and a 11.7@117. I let the car cool down, plugged up datamaster, and went for round 2. This time I launched pretty well, then sprayed it about 20ft after the start, I was STOKED when I got my timeslip. A 11.2@120 with a 1.65 60'!!
Then I went to look at the datamaster log.
Im not sure if the o2s are just DEAD, or if it was really running that lean, but the o2s fluctuated between .850 and .450. :eek Im hoping the o2s are just dead.
And for the info. The car is a 95 Formula. 355, stock compression(I think), a Comp XE 230/236 on a 110lsa, ported heads(by LG I think), 1.6 rr's, Hooker LT's, custom 3in y-pipe, 3in flowmaster act back with cutout, stock TB, a Suncoast ram air box. Has stock injectors, stock intank pump(I think) with a inline pump from a Powerdyne kit with stock injectors and a AFPR. A bastardized NX kit, with NX solinoids, a NOS Annular nozzle, and a NOS 15lb bottle. Car has a TH400 with a 3500 stall, and has a 9in with 3.70s out back of it. Suspension consists of Hochkis LCA's, PHR, and a Spohn Tq arm and 26-10.5-16 ET Streets.
Im hoping with a bigger tire (28in) and some spray off the line to lower the 60ft times, I can get a 10.something out of it. Not bad for a 3000 dollar car eh?

Kyle congrats.
It will be a whole new world when you can get that thing to hook on spray.Sounds like you will get it to go though....keep trying.
Hopefully next year i will be in the 11's n/a on a 355,and then im gonna hit it hard....200+

Kyle,
Those are some nice times! What made you change from a blower to N2O?
Anyways, I would swap out the NOS nozzle for an NX nozzle. reason I said that is my friend has a NOS kit and switched from an NOS nozzle to an NX nozzle and picked up a few tenths. I didn't know there was a difference between the two nozzle, but appearantly there is.

Thanks for the complements everyone.
As for the car not running right for the mods....my car has NEVER run what it's supposed to. Its always been a bit slow. Im not sure if its the motor about to give out (60k on it, compression check looks fine), or tuning, or just a bad combo. I KNOW it needs computer tuning. And suspension tuning. This car has NEVER hooked well.
3000 dollar car, its a lonnnnnnnnnnnng story. Im just lucky.
Why switch to a blower? 110lsa isnt a good blower grind. You want more of a 114 or 115 for blower cars. Nitrous, it really doesnt matter.
Hopefully when I scan the car again on the motor with datamaster, the o2s will do the same as they did on the spray pass. That means all I would have to do is slap a new set of o2s in and spray it again to see what happens. Cant wait to see those 10's.

You should definately replace those o2 sensors. Your probably running very rich but congrats none the less. BTW...
Did you lose 5 mph NA in the quarter from going to the t56 to the th400? What were your best 1/8 mile E.T.'s and mph with the t56 as compared to the th400? How do you like the swap? What size converter are you running? Race weight?
Thanks for the info?

I swapped from a 4L60E to a TH400. I never got to run the car the way it was on motor with the old tranny. Its got a 3500 stall (cheapie) from what I was told. I get about 2500 on the foot brake. Im not sure how much it flashes.
Well, Im HOPING it was running rich with the o2s messed up. I have one unplugged(car was running like CRAP with it plugged up) so the other one was reading between .400 and .900mv. It would fluctuate pretty bad, so I figure that they are toast. Thats also why Im not going to make anymore spray runs untill I get the o2s to where I can see whats going on. I did have a tad bit of knock going down the track to. Maybe 2 degrees. Ill have to pull some timing out soon too.
Raceweight was 3650 with my 145lb butt in the car. Full interior. Only pulled the jack and spare tire so I could fit that 15lb bottle in the wheel well.
Im going to stay with the NOS nozzle, unless NX has a straight nozzle. Im going to be making this kit totally hidden soon, and cant use a standard 90 degree nozzle and still be hidden. If I cant get a 10 with the bigger tires and such, Ill just pill it up another 25 horses and see if it'll fly!
