? about shutting off nitrous.

I have the NX kit on my car and have a question about when I shut the system off. Is it okay to just shut the bottle off and be done? What about all the pressure still in the system? Will this hurt anything, or will it bleed off on its own? I don't have a purge, and I know that would be an easy way to get rid of the pressure. So is it bad or not to just shut the system off and be done?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

I never purge the system out, it's a waste of nitrous. I only purge right before the second stage light.

So, turning it off and being done with it is fine in my opinion.

I usually close the bottle, leave the system on, rev the motor to bout 3000, and purge a couple of blasts througt the motor, to get most of the pressure out of the lines, since I dont have a purge solenoid. I cant imagine that leaving pressure on the nitrous solenoid 24/7 would be very good for it.

Before I got a purge. I would just crack the bottle nut, to purge the line at the end of the day.

it is NOT good to leave the lines pressurized, just too much wear and tear on the solenoid seals. Plus with the heating, cooling, the nitrous in the line will be in the wrong state to be an effective amount of nitrous.......and whatever is in 14-16' of line isnt a major as stated above.
