406 TPI + NX 150 shot... good idea?
406 TPI + NX 150 shot... good idea?
ok. well i was going to do the direct port 200 shot.. but decided for that little of a shot it wasnt worth the $$. granted the cool factor was there, but the price seems a bit to costly in the end for it. so now im wondering about just doing a 150 (or possibly a 200 shot if they have 200 shot jets for a plate) on the motor. i was told there is 2 ways i can do this.. the palte system *where id put it between the T.b> and the plenum. or i can just put the nossle right before the T.B. which 1 is safer? cause the second option desnt sound to safe to me. i am going to be installing window switches and alot of the other safety options that are out there. the fuel pump is a 245 and im thinking about bumping that up to a 255 *or higher* id probably have a 125 jet in the car majority of the time and install the 150 (or 200 if they make a 200 jet) for dyno runs and track times. i guess what im just fishing for is what kit would be the best and what should i make sure i do. i know i need to make sure i am running rich so i have extra fuel going into the engine, but anything else? thanks for the replys.
I had pretty good success by drilling a hole in my MAF sensor, ON THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE HOT WIRE!!! And I screwed the Shark Nozzle into that hole directed at the TB. ONLY do that with the wet kit. I did it with an LT1wet kit from Nitrous Express. I worked with a 75 shot but I'm thinkin 200 would work...Direct port MIGHT be safer..Remember, 200HP worth of fuel goin through an intake manifold designed to flow ONLY air is what you have on yer hands...Have you seen the Arizona Speed and Marine Direct port runners? Shweeeeeeeeeet setup! Looks bad as **** too! goodluck man!
