355cid NOS solid roller cam suggestion

Hey all,
Engine is out of the car going to the machine shop to be cleaned up to 355cid. I plan on running a solid roller camshaft with the crane 11522 solid roller lifters. AFR hyrdra rev kit, hardened push-rods, guideplates and 1.6rr. I am wanting a good nitrous cam for this combination with a 6spd manual. Goals: streetable yet 10 second blasts within reach with a 150+ shot. Engine will be around 11:1 compression. E-mail me at nealeugene@hotmail.com or post on here any experience/suggestions.

thanks,

Cant help with cam choice....but why the hydra-rev kit?
That is ONLY for hydrualic rollers, unless there is something i missed when checking that setup out.

Solid rollers run higher spring pressures that would collapse a hydrualic roller, thats why they made the hydrarev.

Hydra Rev and solid roller ?

You realize you don't need a SR for this, right? What kinda bottom end are you going to be running? Do you really need a SR?

Anyway, for street/strip use there isn't a huge difference between a "nitrous" cam and a cam for an NA setup. Pretty much a good NA cam will be a good N2O cam. Very different from a cam optimized for a centrifugal, contrary to what some people say.

Before getting more specific about cam, tell us about your heads, what gas you will be running, how fast you are going to spin it, etc.

Rich is correct, you dont need a hydra-rev kit with a solid roller setup.

The biggest variable in determining the performance of this setup will be the heads. With good heads, you should be running high 10s (or have the potential to) on motor alone. EASY 10s on spray.

I would highly recommend calling Cam Motions for your cam needs with this motor. Almost all the fastest NA LT1 cars (solid roller) use their cams.

Dont even bother with a solid roller setup tho if your heads are not that good.
