Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

yeah, the first run of the night was teh one where the wall was in the way, i forgot they were filming

second run was teh one from the front-ish of hte car where we soomed in, not as good of 60' but it was still a decent launch 1.6

third run was the "rear view" of the car, i spun the right side a lil bit, and only pulled off a 1.7 60' on that run.

by watching the action of the car in each of hte videos, you can def. tell the body lifted a LOT more in the run where the wall was in the way (1.5 60')

either way, a 2.73 car pulling a 1.5 60' is incredible to me.

hmm...well the E55 AMG ran a 11.8 and we beat him by about 3 car lengths

that was short shifting first gear b/c the track was cold (1.67 60ft) and no spray

Nice runs, but I didn't see any wheels leaving the ground. You do realize that your tranny will be going out pretty soon? It slips pretty bad between shifts.

Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

yeah, i know its shady.

the place that rebuilt it killed the line pressure mechanically, i raised it in the computer, but still. i think a shift kit will greatly improve things. the trans only has about 20K on it. might get a new 2-4 band put in when i get my stall put in this summer.

working out the details of my plan, until then, i'll just have some fun with it.

Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

Are you shure it has 2.73 in it? it comes out of the hole really quick. And only with 120 shot. And all 4 wheels stayed on the pavment. It would take about 600+ tq do pull that kind of 60' with 2.73.

on the run that pulled the wheels (not in the video b/c footage was lost) I, me, myself was standing in between the two lanes where it says "carolina dragway" and saw with my own two eyes the front left tire come 2-3 inches off the ground...

i know we don't have video proof...but why would we ly? it's not like we are winning a prize or something...it DID happen though

it takes less than that to achieve that type of 60'.

to lift a factory size wheel 2-3 inches does take quite a bit,if you had skinnies on there it would be more believable.
Roman Littman 10.47@131.9,1.41 60', 3''off the ground w/BMR susp. and slicks and 6spd
Jason Warren 9.58@140,1.28 60' 3-4" off the ground w/BMR susp. et streets auto trans.
its not like i think anyone is not telling the truth here it just takes more than what was said to achieve a factory wheel to be 2-3" off the pad, seeing full susp. at launch will make you think you pulled the wheels that far,i am not saying it did not occur however i will say i dont think it was that high....gooood times though and a tough 60'!
