Talking 2.73 car pulling a wheel

yeah i did it.

1.552 60' unhooked the sway bar, ET streets.

spraying a 120 shot at the motor off the line, no stall, 2.73 gears, intake, unhooked exhaust, mild computer tune.

got video of me picking it up, but the guy that took it hastn hosted it yet..

it was amazing. only ran a 12.2 at 107, 7.7 1/8 mile at 88. but still, a 1.552 60' out of a 2.73 gear car, pulling the left front wheel off the ground was AMAZING

Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

I want to see that video too. My 67 GTO will pull a 1.6 60' time, 3:73 gears, 3000 stall, run a best of 10.8@121 and will not pull the wheel off the ground. I guess your suspension must be really loose and sloppy.

Your 12.2@107 doesn't sound right to me with that 120HP shot.

Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

if i'm lying i'm dying

copied straight off the timeslips, my camera sucks too bad for the pic to turn out...gonna borrow my friends camera tomorrow and get a pic, video still not up yet

R/T .464
60' 1.552
330 4.921
1/8 7.721
mph 88.09
1000 10.142
1/4 12.209
mph didnt work on the right lane last night

other timeslip
R/T .249
60' 1.613
330 5.023
1/8 7.851
mph 87.26
1000 10.285
1/4 12.357
mph 105.87

the second run was in the left lane and it got a better video shot of me pulling the tire off the ground...i didnt tote it down the track by any means, i am just saying i got it off the ground..and the low mph is because of the 2.73 gears, the car is almost slowing down after it shifts into 3rd gear

ALL MODS
Moroso Cold air intake
NX solenoids, NOS fogger nozzle, 51N 31F
Unhooked exhaust at the cat
Computer tune (similar to hypertech, but its a custom tune with raised line pressure)
M/T ET Streets 26x10.5x16 (brand new, had some of hte sticker still on em when i ran the first time
Eibach sportline springs in the front, stock springs in the rear
Unhooked front sway bar

thats it, as soon as the video is up, i will post a link.

Re: 2.73 car pulling a wheel

he's not lying....

those are his mods exactly, I know this car, I've been under it probably the same amount he has

His car DID pull a wheel I saw it with my own two eyes. It was badass and noone else can believe he'd pulled a 1.55 w/ 2:73's and no stall. I'll take a picture of the timeslip tomorrow and post it. Also video should be up tomorrow also!
