150hp Wet shot on 130k Shortblock

Hey guys, i've got a heads cam LT1 that runs 12.50's on motor right now.

How safe will it be to run a 150hp shot on the stock bottom end? If I keep the tune fat and the timing off the car should it do okay?

The motor should be able to handle 150hp with no problems. But fat is not the answer. Too fat is just as bad as too lean. You will end up getting fuel trapped between the top 2 ring lands, which will result in pinching or lifting of the ring lands...Then time for new pistons. Get the correct kit, and tune it good. Thats the way to make them last.

thanks man,

i'm really scared of it, I meant about a 11.8 to 1 while on the spray

i'm also not going to be running timing at all until i get used to it. I've tuned other guys with thier N20 kits but that was thier wish to spray old blocks not mine !
