I posted about the EFA shootout in the drag racing forum and how I won the Power adder class. Anyway, after killing my cars gearing and going from 4.11's and a 26" tall tire to 3.70's and a 28.2" tire I ran a dismal 11.92@115 NA. Next pass I went out with the 150 shot and went 10.4@129 with a 1.48 60ft. I ran a few more 10.4's @128-129 and ran a 10.366@129 and a best of 10.35@129 with a 1.43 60ft. These are with the jettings that NX gave me 62 N2O and 49 Fuel through a single fogger. I did no tuning to the car and just winged it because of lack of time. I can't believe the car picked up so much. I have some tuning left to do and I have yet to launch fult tilt of the t-brake at 4000 rpms...all my launches yesterday were holding the car at 2000 rpms on the t-brake (part throttle) and flashing the converter. I am going to tune it in then step up to the 200 jetting and see if I can get the single digits with my 355 hydraulic cam motor

PS- Thanks to Kurt, Joe, Dirk, Glen, Don, and everyone else I bugged to get my setup in order and the combo right.

Awesome times! Sounds about right, 150HP = ~15mph in the 1/4.
Are you running a dedicated fuel system for the nitrous, and using a low psi carb-style fuel pump? Reason I ask is because that fuel jet is much bigger than the normal LT1 jet for the 150-shot (38 I believe).

Yup dedicated fuel system with 10 psi flowing pressure. Thanks for the complements.

Let's see front suspension: Hal shocks/springs, no sway bar, PA racing tubular K-member and A-arms, manual steering rack with a bump steer kit
rear suspension: Hal Shocks, stock springs, Spohn TA, LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, and panhard rod, Wolfe Racecraft Rear Anti roll bar, moser 9" 3.70's and full cage.
I expect to be in the low 1.30's once I lauch the car hard and step up the shot. I can't beleive on how straight the car goes down the track with this setup.

Should be able to Jeremy. Looks pretty similar to my set up. BTW for the gear...get a 3.70 and put a 28" tall tire under it.

So...Um...Matt. Are we spraying a 200 shot at Cecil Nov 3rd?...LOL
For anyone who hasn't SEEN Matts car leave....Very impressive foot high /wheels up.
Should I bring the grill again?
BTW...I might wait until after then to get the car painted...Thinking about trying a cut-out.

Hey Frank. Yeah I am stepping it up to the 200 hit. I might go and try it out on the street sometime next week or this weekend. I have to have a 9 second pass with this setup before the season is out. I am hoping for a 9.9x@134.xx with a 1.4x 60 ft on a 200 hit. However, I think I am going to try and launch off the 2 step at 3500 on the t-brake and see if I can get a mid 1.3 60 ft. If I can get that I might hit a 9.8 or so. We'll see. I just hope I can hit the number and I'll be happy. BTW, I took the prize money and got another 15 lb bottle....so I won't have to worry about running out at the track again.lol As for Cecil....yeah bring that grill and I'll bring some burgers or something this time. Try that cutout and maybe you can pick up a tenth or 2 to get ya into the 11's.

Wow I thought that was my buddy sig (threadedtire)
We just threw down some 10.30's @130 last weekend with nearly the same exact combo. We have stock heads
ANyhow was gonna ask what your rear QA1's are set at.
We are just comin off of a DR setup to slicks and were pullin 40-42 60's on spray. I believe we are set at 6 or 7 out from stiff.
Video shows her spinnin just a bit about 10-12' out.
ALso do you use a timing retard box (MSD) or somthing like it. was wonderin how to wire that to stock ignition or do I need a 6 or 7 AL box
Any help is appreciated thanks

I have my front shocks set at 3 and the rears set at 5. However, my raceweight is pretty high at 3650 so the settings might not work for a lighter car. I would start at 3 all the way around and keep tightening the rears up until it spins the tires again and go to the tightest setting that yeilds traction...if it is too soft you are wasting power/energy. I am pulling 4 degrees of timing through an MSD Digital 6 box--this thing is the best ignition box I have ever used. Let me know if you need anything else.Originally posted by CRCDUDE

I was wondering if you wire the MSD like the book says or is there a special way to do that with the OBD1 cpu.
I have a 6al box and a multifunction controller just never bothered to wire it in.
Suppose I could check with MSD tech and see Huh.
Cool thanks

Buy the MSD wiring harness for your car and it is a snap....they maek them for all of their ignition boxes.
