You don't need any mods. If you want to play it safe (and you DO, trust me
) I would at least get FPSS, WOTS, proper gauges, and possibly one step colder plugs. This is of course assuming you're using a WET kit, which I would recomend.
I probably wouldn't go over a 125 on your motor. The motor should take it fine and you shouldn't have any problems as long as the fuel pressure is there. However, be prepared to freshen it up or do a minor rebuild down the road.
Technically, as I said in the first paragraph, you don't HAVE to have any mods or saftey nets- I'm a perfect example of that. I ran a 150 shot on my LT1 with absolutley no mods for a while. Luckily I had no problems, but others have.
