100HP the best bang for size?
Any comments on this? It seems to me after reading many threads that guys running A 100hp shot see the best gains for the size being used. It looks like if tuned correctly a 1 second drop in ET is in order in the 1/4 mile, where a 150 shot might only gain a couple more tenths. This seem about right to you guys?

My 305 engine worked MUCH better with a 100 shot over a 150 shot. Stock heads/cam. It picked up 18mph on a 100 shot and only 20 on a 150 shot. NX Jets used in an NX Stage 6 plate for a carb application. On top of that, the 150 wasn't able to hook in first gear, making it nearly useless and very inconsistant with an ET reduction.
It has to do with cubes, cylinder head flow, camshaft, etc
If you're just playing around, 100hp jetting is a lot of fun, very safe, especially on non-track surfaces. On race day, an extra 50hp can be worth it, even if you can only get .2-.3 out of it.
