Question 100 shot worth worry about timing retard...

I'm only running a 100 shot and wandering if I need to worry about retarding the timing?

Thanks,

Timing is stock. I'm running AC Delco R42LTS for plugs, 1 step colder and a little shorter than Autolites. It makes changing my plugs a little easier.

Come on guys....I'm not slow. I know what type of plugs to run and to use premium gas, my car has never had regular in it in the 6 years that I've owned it. Just wasn't sure if timing with a shot that low was worth worrying about.

What about your Accel 300, what does that do?

well, here is the facts.

MOST people with 100 shots do not pull timing, and run premium, with copper plugs(colder) and are good to go.

However, if you are really worried about it(it's not my engine), monitor for knock retard. I have mine jetted to a 100shot with stock timing and the knock sensor does not pull anything out. I have a lt4KM.

What I'm saying is this, monitor YOUR engine and tune it for YOUR setup. Use what other ppl experience as a BASELINE. Some ppl like to tune leaner for that extra power but run into that "unsafe" zone, others like a buffer and run more rich.

Happy spraying.
