There's no way in hell you'll pass emissions w/o a cat.

Sure is quiet after you asked that question
Visual is important, if you want the off road pipe, have it installed and replace it for smog. You only lose about 3-7 HP with it on so it isn't a big deal. I had the ORP on during the Dyno Days in December. It helped but I had the most black smoke (HCs) of anyone.

Good price. I know some fabricators who will help you fit it in. I had the header flange, needed to cut it out, took him several fittings to get it right (20 minutes on a lift) for $25. It's a good deal cause with the cutting and the tools to expand the pipe it would have taken me much longer. Let me know if you're ready, I'm thinking of hosting the March meeting in HB at the fabricators shop for anyone who wants to do any welding.

Headers are great. Many are going for the long tubes (Hooker and LP?), Mid lengths people like Arizona Speed & Marine (AS&M), and Shorty (Edelbrock). They each have their strengths. Best to choose the header that fits into your plan. Let me know if you need any help.
I haven't been active on the board, I don't have access to a computer anymore so, I'm borrowing one from work temporarily.

i really wanna go with the LT, but the thing is i need to pass emission ::darn it::...so i think i have to stick with the shorties right??
LTs are great but there have been troubles with the O2s getting quick readings. I hear good things about the mids by AS&M. I've got the Edelbrocks and I'm very pleased.
If you go Naturally Aspirated (NA), and keep it smog legal with a mild port & polish, and moderate cam, the mids should be great.
