I have gone up into the malibu canyonb area at least 30 times and it is awsome. Never seen a camaro other than mine though. Angels crest is a cool drive but its got to many of those tar lines in it, so if you like to push your car like I do, it gets kinda hairy, not to mention the cops that like that road.

Anyways let me know of any canyon cruises you wanna go on and i'm there, just tell me where and when.

Thanks Mike
I feel ya, I've constantly try to get ppl together for a spirited run thru the hills, has never been an easy task

About that Angeles Crest, best time to go thru there is during the weekdays, weekends Ponch & John are posted out every which way, since the sportbike crowd brings so much attention.

I prefer to schedule exact dates and times thru PM for obvious reason, those .gov hits Just hit me up over PM, we will get something coordinated

It was awesome, give it 2 thumbs up

Well, ppl were running there tires off the road, basically ****ing whoever else was behind them. A notable example was this dood in a Civic, he posted out on this turnout behind some bushes, I drove by and he came shooting out sometime there after, I saw his lights from behind, wasn't sure if it was a cop, so I slowed to a legal pace, since I saw some flashing lights early in the run, I was being pretty wary. I pulled off at a turnout and let the car go by, which is when I discovered it was the Civic, I began to follow, only to get loads of dirt thrown at me from him running the tires off the side of the road. I went ahead and slowed to create some distance due to the simple fact, I don't want to be getting plastered w/ rocks.

When I preceded, noted the roads were covered by this guy and others who were also running the corners off the side :-/ I'm not going to hate on him, I tend to do the same on Turnabol

Maybe we can get something coordinated for the Rim of World again, but run it going up the Barton Flats side Has long sweepers, ideal for the F-body

That was a might fine cruise, wasn't it Jeremy? Other than the two Harley riders holding me back for a few miles, I couldn't complain...Okay, maybe the food could have been better, company was excellent, driving was much fun! I'd do Rim of the World again, I'm going to be training in San Fran for the next 4 months starting 1/26, will be coming home every other weekend, maybe I'll get lucky & hook up with y'all during one of the weekends I'm home.

Mos def, the way down was awesome, felt bad for you guys stuck behind the Harleys, the roads were all well maintained, w/ some pretty sick banks and sweepers, it was awesome Plus, there was literally no one up ahead, the Harleys were pretty much the only ones on the road.

Jerm,

I would just like to say that i would love to go out with you on latigo canyon road, i've run that road many times, but for some reason my 3500lb car with my 270lb but loves that road, its true that a lighter car would do much better through there but don't claim that our cars can only handle sweepers. Its all about how you set it up. I've been up in those canyons and played with all sorts of cars and till this day nothing has left me behind.

Hit me up fellas I havn't been on a run in the canyons in a while and till this day i havn't been able to compare my car with another f-body, email me , aim me, pm me whatever.

Thanks Mike

Well, when I got off that road, it proved my car did not have the set up. The power steering cooler will be going in not this weekend, but the next, so I'll be hitting you up to go test it out

I still firmly believe the Camaro is to heavy and would love to get something lighter, even if it cost me some horseys I get done w/ a long run and my arms are about ready to fall off.

BTW, I've never been left on a canyon I've driven in the past

I'll be adding you to my AIM buddy list, I'll be hitting you up in the near future I got the attention of a few of the guys off LS1.com, looks like we can get quite a few of us out somewhere.

Next time someone is setting up a So Cal run drop a few links over at www.GMEternal.com -we're always trying to get some runs going but same problem as you guys, can only get a small turn-out...and dont forget us SoCal thirdgenners over at www.SC3G.org, we have some hardcore canyon guys over there...

I have a few smaller runs I have been planning on setting up but my T/A cant seem to keep its sh*t togther long enough (tranny is acting up and its only 2 years old and supposed to be able to handle up to 400+hp...Im maybe pushing 200hp if Im lucky!) So its parked till I find a job and get it fixed(hard to get a job with no car!)

Jerm why arent you posting this stuff over at GirlRacing.org??? I see, keep us out of the loop

I do have plans to set up a big run up to Lake Gregory(passed it on the Rim of the World run) mainly to enjoy a day at the lake(the run up the Mt will only take 10-15 mins at a "spirited" speed) have a big BBQ and race down the waterslides(small lake-no power boats allowed) But the lake doesnt open till Memorial Day(end of May)

Now Jeremy!
Based on what I saw during the Rim of the World cruise, your driving abilities are quite exceptional...I mean heck, I consider myself a pretty aggressive damn good driver, I'm fast and furious, especially on the twisties, and you passed me up like I was standing still!!!
I think that maaaaaybe, your driving level is exceeding your suspension upgrades, maybe you might have to get stiffer shocks & springs...Maybe coilovers? Do you have coilovers/koni's on your Z? Maybe that might be a good investment for the future

Hey, even though I'm up north right now, I want to be included in these carving runs, hook me up, if I'm in town, I want to hang out with y'all!!!

My bad on that, I'll be letting you guys/gals know. Can you toss up some links on the Mt. Gregory? I'll get a list of places set up for you guys and we will see what appeals to us.

BTW, McDonald's is always hiring
