Irwindale 4-21-05

I went to Irwindale tonight, it made me kinda mad and sad at the same time. I sold my camaro last year, damn i wish i still had it because of irwindale tonight. Out of all the f-bodys that were there tonight only one or two were quick. All the others where not really that fast at all. Im not trying to bash on them or anything i just wanted to share some things i did to my car and it ran the numbers.

Specs-
1996 Camaro Z28 75k miles on it

Mods- cut out stock intake to suck in cold air w/k&n filter, IAT relocator, 2800 PI converter, 3" custom mandrel catback w/magnaflow and cutout, LT4 KM.

On street tires down to 25psi @ irwindale i went 8.80 @80mph with a 2.1 60'

cutout open i went 8.67@ 81 mph with a 2.0 60'

I plan on getting another camaro one of these days, i have big plans for it, but 1st im working on a 1966 chevelle SS.....well everyone have a great day.

Good numbers from the LT1. We were out there last week and ran an 8.26 with our 2001 Camaro SS. We are getting ready for Super Chevy next week, so we were unable to be out there with our 1998 Camaro Z28. It used to run 7 flat at Irwindale (best is in the sig), now it will be quicker. Hope to see you around sometime.

Yah not to bad for a LTi, never touched the motor at all, i forgot to list the underdrive pullys, and the trans go shift kit but other than that it really had no bolt on's at all. Im sure if i had it slicked down it would of went even faster...i bet i could of gotten a 1.9 or 1.8 60'. That would of helped me out a lot. 8.67 1/8 mile converts to a 13.50's so im sure i would be in the low 13's even maybe touch 12.99. I should of put juice on the car it would have been a beast lol.
