Yup, gas has definitely gone up again. The lowest I've seen is $2.25/gal for premium at Unocal 76.

Come to Torrance, CA. Gas is 2.45 for 91. What's the deal with the sudden increase? Is it going down or up? I have a feeling its going to stay or go up seeing that summer is coming.

Well at least we have a good Public transportation system for the people that need to get around

P.S. I only stopped with the rolleyes because it won't let me type anymore or else I would have flooded the server with rolleyes.

$2.52 a gallon for 91 at Chevron over here.

It's only going to get worse.

In other news:

Anybody see that Highway Patrol Car (Camaro) in Maryland get side swiped on the freeway lastnight? Cop opened his driver door to get his ticket book and ended up getting the $hit scared out of him when a large truck swiped the door, making the door jerk like a ragdoll.

Amazing!

Isn't it amazing that every year for the last four ,or five years (at least)the "Oil Companies "come up with some lame a$$ excuse to raise there prices about this time of year? Last month when the price started to creep up it was because of a shortage of heating oil in the east(this happen alot too),why, they know that it gets cold in the winter and people like to be warm, and are going to use it up so they somehow NEVER make enough. Viola! Insant shortage,so what to do,lets take the oil that we use for gas and create a shortage there also(right, give me a break!),and now it's time to "REFORMULATE" for the summer , (lets all go off line at once that should creat a shortage)that worked the first time and some people believed them, but every year it's the same "OLD THING". Sorry to go off on a rant here, but I am getting very, very tired of being "SCREWED" by big business ,and until people open thier eye's and put a stop to it it will continue to happen.

"That's just my oppinion,I could be wrong!" (dm)

It was $2.29 for premium at Chevron Sunday. Last night it was $2.39. I can only guess what it will be tonight.

My next car will probably be a four-banger.

Let's face it people. Until OPEC dissolves or floods the market, the price is only going to go up.

Yep, the OPEC nations got together and decided they were producing too much gasoline. So they cut production, which drove the prices up.

I paid $2.17 in Orange for 91 Octane at a Shell station last night.

so true, but here in the Phoneix area there is no way to boycot the gas corp. I (have to) drive 20-40 miles a day to school and work there is no good public transportation ( would take 2 or 3 hours more to commute) so I'm stuck.

For some reason these gas allocation problems seem to go unnoticed. When people (who have ties in the oil busness) are in office, hummmm, coincidence i think not. I think we need to look higher for the solution to our ales.

OPEC is only the tip of the iceberg ,agreed they raise thier prices and the greedy oil companies have to make thier HUGE profits ,but I've seen gas prices go up two, three, and even four times in one day! OPEC does not raise thier prices that often, and when OPEC drops thier prices it takes months before it's reflected at the pump unlike the immediate rise.

If enough people in enough states were to write thier elected representatives and let them know that you think they should do something about this,or they don't get your vote, then come election time go out and VOTE then maybe there is still hope.

Without sounding to patriotic, just remember ,"By the people ,for the people."
