Anyone hear about this cruise on central ave this saturday(April 10th) I heard its pretty crazy and theres anywhere from 500-1000 cars. My friend said he went to it last year and it was great but I havn't heard anyone on these boards talk about it.

Most of the Phoenix area chatter takes place on the local boards, such as www.AzFBA.com , www.AzLS1.com or www.AZMCA.com
It's generally a really good time. 1000 cars is an understatement since it fills over a mile worth of parking lots.
Get there early and grab a seat on the corner near park certral mall and watch the burnouts.

Cruise sucked this year. Cops were pulling people over left and right for anything that they could. Lifted trucks for no mud flaps and license plates being to high. Bagged and juiced cars for dragging, changing ride height while in motion, and license plate to low. Seemed like anybody who broke their tires loose was swarmed on by 5-6 cops. Probably has something to do with all the attention the local media has been giving to street racing lately. I was pretty bummed out, ususally the cruise is awesome.

Well that makes me glad I went into work instead of going to the cruise.

Yeah it was a bummer. Guy I know with a juiced Acura got tickets for license plate too low and something else. As soon as you saw smoke you heard the siren and saw the lights swarm on the car. Was ****ty indeed.

I didn't get a chance to attend, but that's pretty much what I heard from folks who were in attendance. From eyewitness accounts, looks like a couple people from AZFBA should expect to be recieving tickets-by-mail from the cops for tearing down central. Sucks too, thought the cruise was about having some fun.

Yep from what i hear past central cruises have been a blast and this one was a bummer. It was still fun, I brang my Green Z28 out to mess around a bit, did a little smoke show(cops didnt bag me thnak god). It was fun but I think it could of been a lot better if the cops weren't so strict, they pulled over anyone they could.
