Looking for fellow F-bodie ers (??) who are in or near Modesto?
Seems that most are in Southern CA.
Then the guys from the Pac. NW are all too far north.

Or howabout Fresno?

Yeah. 2800 miles.
I've been living there for the past year out at Ft Irwin. Just back in NC for the holidays....I'm familiar with Southern CA, but Fresno/Modesto are more central CA. Just lookin for a little intel from guys who live there......

 

I live in Fresno I dont know how much I could help you though since Ive been here a little over a year. There are a couple other members here from Fresno also.

I'm taking a sales territory that encompasses Fresno, Modesto and Stockton, plus a bunch of the other towns like Manteca, Madera etc.

I'm a single guy looking for a good spot to live. I'm not expecting an exact street address, but some geneal info on what type of town each one is.
For instance, I've "heard" that Modesto isn't quite as nice as Fresno. Is there a flavor to one city over the other?
I get some info from the real estate agents, and from the census info, but have yet to talk to somebody who actually lives out there.

I live near fresno, about 30 minutes south. I'm sure it really all depends on what part of the town you pick to live in. There are crappy places to live in both Fresno and Modesto, also good places in both towns. Just gotta tell the real estate agents what your looking for, im sure they would be be able to help.

North fresno is the place to be. All the new housing has been expanding north/east. Clovis is also nice too. But beware of the clovis PD. If I had to grid it out I'd say look for something North of Shaw ave. All the way east to Clovis ave. Or west to Palm ave. Hope that helps.

Haven't decided whether to live in Fresno or Modesto, but now I know about Fresno!
