5 speed advice

I have a 69 Camaro with a 4spd. I am looking to swap it out for a 5spd. Anyone have any good advice or maybe who I should buy through?

Not sure about a 5-speed, but Tyler at American Touring Specialties has a kit to bolt in a T56 6-speed.

A Richmond 5-speed or a Tremec TKO 5-speed. Dont bother with a GM T5. Even better is a T56 like suggested above.

Re: 5 speed advice

A really good friend of mine swapped in a T-56 from his totalled 94 camaro into his 67RS. Built 327 and a six speed with 4.56 gears makes for a NICE combination....

He got an adapter plate from Mcleod and then converted the input shaft on the trans to the LS1 style input shaft (non-pull type clutch) and was able to use his mechanical linkage from the M-21 that he had in there. You will need to use a bellhousing from a SBC and a clutch for a LS1, but I think you can use a regular style Pressure Plate... You will also have to modify your trans crossmember... Nice setup though and it puts the shifter back a few inches which makes for a really nice shifting position...

Just FYI
