Will this setup work? Should Be 10's?
Will this setup work? Should Be 10's?
I have the cam, heads and retuned computer and ran a 12.2 at Milan with a bad 60' (No Hooking). So, I figure at a good track high 11's.
Well, I am going to order a 12 bolt rear with 4:10's or 3:73's, and a new set of 16" rims with some good ET streets (going skinny up front). To get the car moving a little quicker I'm also picking up a new 6lb ProCharger with cooler. This is the winter project and was wondering what the pros and cons are?
Is this a possible 10 sec car? I just don't want to run NOS.
Thanks,

well damn, quit messing around. get that car over here and i can hook you up on all that stuff.
I installed a self contained procharger in a customer/friends formula. w/the 6 pound pulley (act. only 4 lbs of boost) it made 434 rear wheel horsepower. w/the 9lb pulley(act. 8lbs) it currently has on it, it made 484 rear wheel horsepower. and he doesnt have the heads you already have. Id guess youd make more. proly in the area of 510 rear wheel horsepower. thats enough for low 10's w/traction. why you getting 16" rims? 15" would hook better but you need to grind the rear calipers down some.
I'll install the supercharger and rear end for $550 if you want bill. I dont think your gonna beat that at ANY shop. but if you get a custom tune you will need to take care of that. the other one I installed the guy trailored to the shop for the dyno tune after I got done.
are you gonna use the inline pump and boost ref. thingy? instead of that we put a 255lph pump in the tank and bigger inj.s. thats the only reason for toweing it to the shop after. if your using the stuff in the kit, then there's no need to go anywhere else. you'll be all set.
email me if interested. either way your gonna be real happy w/that combo afterwards. you'll always look like this
one day I'll have that setup. LS1 TA w/procharger, heads, LT headers w/duals, bigger cam, 9" though and a bid *** stall conv.
