i've got enough parts to build about three cars right now, if you need a part pm me and let me know what your looking for i have both pontiac and chevy stuff!

everything from interior panels and sets of seats to exterior parts like hatch glasses and taillights....also some underhood stock parts and some not so stock parts. still have some stuff off my own car as well so let me know. if i don't get rid of it most of it will go to a yard in a week to make room.

 

Jeff don't throw anything away. We can take them to a swap meet or car show. I also have alot of parts. If you don't have room for them you can store them in my garage.

Jeff are you still changing all the brackets on your engine? I want to change my belt system to a serp belt system. You saw what I have in the boxes to do the change but I have to see what brackets I will need. Let me know.

Hey guys, as 3rd Gen afficianardos, maybe you could answer this:

Would 3rd Gen GTA seats fit in my '97 Formula without modifications? I always loved the seats in the 2 GTAs I had, and was just thinking the other day that they would be cool in my Formula.

If you think they'll fit, how much do you think a set would go for (just the fronts)?

And, do you know anyone who might have some?

Mark I have 4th gen seats in my car. They will bolt right up but I would stay with the sets you have. The 3rd gen seat set lower. Also they ride harder less give. I have 4th Gen WS6 seat in my IROC and they are a much better feel and ride. Just my .02

let me know what color and style you need; i think it's a personal thing more than anything as 3rdgen seats with low miles on them are just as comfortable if not more so.

let me know exactly what your looking for. if you could find a pic that would be better......would you like to swap your seats or just buy them. i can't imagine them costing much unless you wanted mint very low mileage then your probably looking around 100+ for the fronts.

chris, i got rid of some messages; got a little swamped lately...i am changing brackets; but i'm looking for things that aren't necessarily having anything to do with the belt setup. i'll try to get a close up photo and mark all the parts so you can have a look. most of them are ceramic coated and places want to much to strip the ceramic coat so i'm looking for stock peices to start over in hopes someone might have a use for the coated ones. not to many thirdgen owners are into appearnce stuff.

 

Hmmm... $100 for a pair isn't bad at all (or were you talking a piece). Either way... I just really liked my GTA seats (the "articulating buckets").

Yes, I'd be looking for very mint seats... my '97 only has 7K miles on it and I wouldn't want the seats to look out of place. I have the graphite cloth interior, and I'd want to match that as closely as possible. I only recall a black or light grey interior for GTAs, but I could be wrong.

Kandied -- it sounds like you might know some sources. Point me in the right direction!

Chris -- Yours are IROC seats, which are different than the GTAs, although ride height might be the same. I assume, though, that the power seats work and I could just raise it, if necessary.

do yourself a favor and search archives at some thirdgen places like thirdgen.org and the like.

if you can come up with a picture i'm sure i can find it or at least help you find it.

the only thing i have access to right now in pontiac would be black. their 91's with roughly 40,000. i'm sure you could get them 100 for the two easily and they are in pretty good condition just need to be cleaned more than anything.

just try to find me a picture as i'm not very familiar with the styles of the ta as i am the camaro...they were quite different.

got some recaro seats that look like they have never been sat in; but that's very different from stock ta seats and i doubt you could pick them up for anything less than 400.

Hey Jeff, thanks. I searched the 3rd gen site for a while tonight, and didn't come up with anything concrete yet. I managed to find a picture of some tan seats, but the picture isn't very good, and the color is definitely wrong. I found another guy who had some grey ones for sale, but I think they're sold. I sent him an email for pictures, however. When I find something I'll shoot it to you.
