My brother has a 2000 SS and wants to put a Hotcam in it but wants to hear a car with one or any other type of cam before he puts one in his car. Neither me or him have heard a LS1 with a cam in it up close.

Hotcam for the time being, Hooker long tubes, h-pipe, no cat, single chamber flows. Everything in that previous sentence will be changed within a month and a half, going up to a TSP 233/239, Stainlessworks LT's, different h-pipe and 2 chamber flows.

 

Im putting a cam in whiplash's car this spring and he lives out there. however, his car is supercharged and its not really a lopey cam. its a blower cam which tend to be pretty smooth comparing it to an N/A cam. I put a hotcam in a 99 formula 6speed and it sounded great. ran awesome even w/o a tune. but if its an auto, your gonna need a tune. need someone to put it in? I should have time in late spring/early summer. email me if interested.

Chris is putting in a blower cam for me. LPE GT2-3. From what I'm told it sounds no different than stock.

I got a cammed LS1. It sounds great. Not too much lope. I'll see if I can scrape up a sound clip for ya if you drop me your email address.

 

I have a cam in mine and i have a few sound clips. My MTI C1 is bigger than a hot cam and makes more power than one and from what I here drives and idles much better. From my experance with it its driveability is very close to stock and it serges very little. I will be pulling it out in a week or so and be putting it up for sale so if your brother is interested let me know. Reason for selling is that im going bigger.

go visit PF&E by the famous traffic light and you'll find plenty of cammed ls1 vehicles on any given day as they do several of those over there.
