Question Who can put a trans and clutch in my car?

I'm looking for someone who can do this, or help me do this. I have a 2001 Z28. I bought it with the trans dying, so I'm going to get one from T56rebuilds.com, and I currently have a new LS2/LS7 clutch on the way to my house.

Currently the car pops out of reverse, and the synro's are gone in 2nd. Since it's winter, the car has storage coverage on it in my garage. My dad has a friend who can do the installs, but they live on the other side of the state. The friend wants to charge around $300 bucks to install both.

Is there someone closer who can do it cheaper? I'm not looking to do it anytime soon, but when the time comes, I'd like to have everything lined up.

Thanks,
Milo.

where do you live at? Im goin to guess famington hills is also the other side of the state judging by your location below your name. I can do it at work for around $275 in farmington hills, or before spring I can do it at home for you for $220 in waterford. I say before spring cause I got my dads car apart in my garage, and I got someone else lined up first thing after dads car is done.

Thanks for the post guys.

Chris, I can have you do it - just don't know when. I still need to order the trans, so it will be a few months out. I currently live in Greenville (48838) - just north of Grand Rapids. Once I get the trans, I'll send you a PM so we can work out a schedule or something - whatever works for you.

Thanks guys.

Chris - didn't you buy a 9C1 off my dad? I could have swore it was you. It would have been about 4 years ago.
