As the title states I need my car painted. Same color. I dont want to pay any more than $1500 either and no stoner at Macco is touching my car. Any good places in Metro-Detroit?

Did ya check the local GM body shop??

 

yea, for $1500, you should be able to find a GM dealer to shoot it good

 

obviously aren't asking for a real decent job i take it? if your body is in perfect condition and your not asking for a complete tear down you might get by with that amount.


i'd be happy to give you some numbers to call but there is no one i know that will do it for that cheap. your looking at least 2,000 and that's if you do most of the tear down and everything is perfect.

I think Jeff is right...you are asking for a lot for a little and that usually doesn't happen unless you know somebody or you got a big rack and a mini skirt

I also have been looking into a paint job. My car looks beautiful from a distance but up close you can see all the little stone chips in the hood and a few other places. I was told by a body shop 3000-3500 and at a specialty speed shop they said around 5,000. These are both ball park quotes as they did not actually see my car.

 

Dealer charge me 5k for a repaint. tore the whole car down to do it and had to finish sand the shaved handles, but the rest of the car was fine
